I am Pastor Carrie Baylis, and newly called to serve as an Associate Pastor here at First Lutheran. This is my first call to ministry and I was ordained here at First on August 29 and installed as an Associate on September 5. I have lived in Colorado Springs for two years with my husband and two little girls. We moved from Fairfax, Virginia upon my graduation from Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary in Pennsylvania and my husband’s reassignment with the Air Force to NorthCom at Peterson Air Force Base.

As I begin my ministry here at First I look forward to working with our middle school and confirmation education programs to walk with our youth as they seek to affirm their faith through confirmation. I will also have the opportunity to lead worship services, participate and lead adult education programs, and visit with our homebound members and those who may be hospitalized. My family and I are very excited to be a part of the First Lutheran community. We feel very at home here and hope that anyone who might visit First Lutheran would feel the same!
