My involvement in the broad range of pastoral ministry here includes overseeing the 40-plus Single Adult Ministry. A dedicated core of singles leaders sees that there are opportunities for singles to gather for fellowship, service and spiritual growth in ways that can be meaningful to singles' unique situations. Regular activities include Singles on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. Sundays, meeting in the church library--a time for study, discussion and support; monthly Friendship Brunch at a local restaurant; fellowship or servant events as they arise.

I have introduced the "Beginnings" program in the congregation. "Beginnings: An Introduction to the Christian Faith" is a weekly outreach ministry that includes a fellowship meal, a video presentation on some topic or question of faith, and time for friendly small-group discussion. It is intended to create a comfortable atmosphere that will lend itself to raising questions about the Bible, church, and following Christ. Especially welcome are those who are not attending church and feel a need for further spiritual searching before committing to a congregation or even to Christ. With a trained support team we offer the program to the congregation and the Colorado Springs community in nine-week stretches at various times of the year.

You will also find me teaching Sunday Adult Seminar and mid-week Bible studies; assisting with Sunday morning worship; leading and preaching at Sunday Evening worship; doing homebound visitations, hospital and other visiting as needed; and counseling as called upon.
